The ending showing a blank figure of a person and the music stopping gives the game a tragic ending, in a sense. The protagonist was so unhappy and stressed with so many thoughts about their rebirth--who they'll be, whether they'll change, whether they'll stay the same whether they'll remember anything, etc--they'll never know. We'll never really know, either.

Really excellent game - great usage of art, music, and writing to create a somber atmosphere. I really like how you explored the concept of "rebirth", and how that plays into how you can alter yourself's character stats by being reborn at the end.

The art immediately stood out to me, along with the somber music in the background. All the elements really mold well together to make a sad immersive story.

I love this game so much, the story is really clean, you nicely focus on how to give the main idea of story. The final part of TRPG like skill number is meaningful, There ususlly some high numbers with few low ones, if you never satisfy want to be better you never stop, I wonder how interesting it will be if there is a limit of reroll, if you over that all your skill will be 0.

I saw the art design during class but it’s super amazing to play the game and see it up close! Great job!!

Kinda reminds me of Omori! The narrative is really well thought out and I felt completely submersed in the game

That's a sad story. I'm curious if you drew this character yourself, it's awesome.  I was shocked by the randomized data at the end and would love to know how it was done.

Damn this was really existential lol but also super cool concept. Got a 99 in attractiveness at the end but balanced it out with 0 Dex. The music was a really nice touch too, added to the atmosphere a lot.

the use of randomized stats at the end is a really great use of RNG. I thought there was some kind of catch but then I realized that my choice to reroll better stats WAS the catch about the game. it felt like a commentary on what makes someone or something objectively “enough.” made me think.

Yup! I kept rerolling my attractiveness stat; I ended up with 99 but a dex of 0. For better or for worse 🙂

I really enjoyed how you pace the storyline by slowing down user’s reading process. And the part of the storyline that make you feel interesting is definitely when you reach the end, the story gets more emotional and you can reroll character’s stats after reborn

I really like the way that, right before the procedure, you have to press the space button a lot of times in order to progress between each of the thoughts. It really gives each of the thoughts more individual weight.

I also like how, despite the fact that the main character has misgivings about the rebirth, the final action of the game is extremely gameified. It’s like all the character’s emotions end up not mattering once the rebirth takes place; it sort of just becomes a game of trying to get higher stats even though everything that happened beforehand is really tragic. It’s a great moment.

I’ve never played Persona, but something about the art and the way the options are presented gave me that vibe, which was really cool! The list of consequences/side effects at the beginning seemed interesting: I almost wonder what would happen if you could actually click the link and read all the consequences in a pop-up.

the stats were a really interesting part of the gameplay. I’m curious as to how you set the random number generator or if everything really was just a random chance between 1-100. Either way I tried to max out my strength since I’ve always done that in every game I play. Really cool art too!

I really liked your game, I actually felt a little sad for my character because of your compelling dialogue about his mom. What a coincidence my mom tried to call me in the middle of my play through haha. The art is absolutely fantastic too I love the broad stroke style you used :)

Can anyone beat my stats?

Also like the two text boxes for narration and dialogue. Also liked the randomization of stats as the character restarts in a new life, basically restarting the cycle. The character doesn't remember that they DID reset.

I like how there are two text boxes, one for the narrator and one for the main character’s thoughts. The panicked thoughts midway through the game are also a nice touch as your character realizes the choices they’ve made.
